lmnop

Download issue no.3 now! I'm rather fond of page 27...
Thanks to Jenny for including me in this beautiful Australian online magazine.
On another note, I'm taking the kids to Perth, WA very soon. Any good shopping tips, places to visit? We will be in the city near King's park.

Dots

A birthday present for Caroline. I didn't set out to have a theme. I bought the chocolate and it went from there.

Quilt WIP

Cross your legs, Ruth. Hold that baby in. The quilt is on the way.
Squares cut and mostly pieced together. We just need some ironing, backing, and binding and it's all done.

Flat Eric

This is Harry's favourite stuffed toy. Meet Flat Eric! He was given to me by my workmates when I was pregnant and living in the UK. At the time (1999) Flat Eric starred in his own series of Levis ads and even had a hit single.

So, many years down the track, I thought it about time he went in the washing machine. Turns out he scrubbs up OK. Back to Harry's bed to chase away the bad dreams.

purses and kits

Kristel of vlijtig has cut into her 'ladybug' fabric and come up with these cute purses. Makes me want to do some sewing... just need an extra pair of hands at the moment.
Also Blueberry Park (UK online store) have the very first batch of my 'bunny kits'. Complete with pattern, instructions and fabrics handpicked by me.
And to answer a few questions from the last post:
If you want to buy some tea towels, just drop me an email (there's a link in the shop)
The 'babushka' crafty panel is still being developed so it might be a month until it gets printed. If you are busting to make a project with babushka's, Mikodesign has just handprinted her own great version!

Working on

New crafty panel concepts.

Natalie and I had a print ideas workshop last week. She came over with some colourful drawings done on brown kraft paper and we went from there.

I also had my 'botanicals' print done on some lovely 100% linen teatowels. I have a few left and they are going at the bargain price of $15 each plus postage.

Wish I was in Adelaide today.
This exhibition is on, organised by the energetic and talented Kirsty. I'm looking forward to seeing the book published from this event available sometime this year!

Tiny

The craft market on the weekend was great. We will be doing it again in mid June. The sewing bug bit me on Saturday afternoon and I made a bunch of these tiny owls. The smallest are just 5cm tall.
If you like making very small things check out this book by my friend, Sarah. I have known her for a few years and didn't find out until recently she has written her own book about dolls house quilts. I didn't even know she sewed! My goodness, I must stop talking about myself all the time and listen to other people...
Back to me - my local craft store bought my whole range of fabrics. Thanks Judy!! She has given me a bookcase to fill at the front desk and fill I did. I'll drop in there tomorrow and take some pics.
More good news - my domain name is back! Woohoo. The thought of printing new business cards and someone else owning my website name sickened me for a few hours. But it's all sorted now. I will definately pay for that on time next year. And thanks to Lauren who noticed and alerted me to the fact!
