Bunnies

These guys emerged from my stash last night. They will be hopping off to a shop in Adelaide once I finish another guy to go with them. The shop owner ordered 3 toys (to go with the new fabrics ordered) and said 'surprise me'. Now I know she sometimes reads this blog and I've blown it, but I HAVE NOTHING ELSE for show and tell today. It's been all about cutting fabrics and getting hankies printed around here lately. (Thanks to all those who have loved and bought the 'days of the week' hankies Frizz and I designed)

By the metre

Seems to be a bit owly around here lately.
If 'owls' aren't your thing, there is also a new 'lily pads' design in my shop.

The market was a flop. Chin up, move forward I say. The very next day I went to Hazelhurst Art Gallery to hear a talk from the owners of Signature Prints in Sydney. Very inspiring to see how well they have done with their range of Florence Broadhurst prints in just seven years. And there were only about 15 people there, so I was able to ask loads of questions.

And the winner is...

Comment number 63! Now this may look very rigged as Molly is a good bloggy friend of mine, but I assure you it's not.
So I got Harry to choose a runner-up from the bowl and I definately don't know this person.
Number 68: cathygaubert. Congrats to you both, may your kiddies enjoy blowing their noses next winter...
Cathy can you drop me an email?
Again, thanks to everyone who dropped in a comment and helped me celebrate. If you missed out and want to buy a print to make your own hankies (or some of the other creative suggestions), pop on over to my shop.

200

Finally I am writing my 200th post. I've been putting it off all week. Such a big number, should I write something amazing that will stick in everyones minds? Nah, haven't done that in the last 199, why start now?

A competition to celebrate is in order. Just take a guess at what this project is and pop it in the comments box to win. I will draw a name out of a hat and the winner gets the first set of this project. A BIG thanks to Frizz for the gorgeous illustrations!
EDIT: the competition is now closed. Thanks so much for joining in on the fun. Just by having a guess you have gone into the draw to win a set of... 'days of the week' handkerchiefs!! I will draw a winner tommorow.

3 bears

These little guys headed off to the local art gallery this week. Things are looking a little sparse up there and I need to get sewing. I have been saying that to myself for a few months, maybe if I write it down I will get a move on.

Thanks Molly

A lovely box full of ribbon and ceramics arrived at my door yesterday. Thanks to Molly, my mollybirds inspiration and beautiful crafty friend. Shame we don't live next door to eachother, but swapping goodies across the world is the next best thing.

I can't bear to throw out scraps of my new fabric. Even the little bits.

Strike-offs

Picked up these samples on friday, well Dad did. I was stuck at home with unwell kiddie and virtually no sleep after a 4am dash to the hospital. All well now. The printing is fantastic and I'm very pleased that I found a place right here in Sydney that could do it for me. Thanks Steve and Craig!

I am waiting for some shop orders and still contacting buyers before I print a full run. So I'm guessing I'll have some ready for sale in about 3 weeks!
I dusted off the sewing machine and made this bag and coin purse last night.
