Sling bag

I sewed this yesterday for a friend. Amazing what you can get done with the kids away camping. I've been on 3 bike rides, one walk and sewed like crazy.
I was inspired by Jodie's amazing selvedge creations to leave a bit of text on this project.

A great bag. Your prints are fantastic and the application a treat.

Stunning bag, the chickadee (sparrow?) fabric really lends itself to the design of the bag with the branches extending up the strap.

I forgot to ask in my comment above what the bag pattern is? I love the simplicity of it.

Your bag looks fantastic - it must be fun making stuff from YOUR VERY OWN fabric! What pattern did you use?

what a beautiful bag!!!! I was just writing on my blog how I just love birds at the moment.
Happy New Year.

Thanks! The bag pattern is my own. It usually sells online at Kelani Fabric Obsession, but it looks like they are all sold out at the moment. If anyone wants to buy a copy of the pattern, drop me an email and I'll send you an invoice. It's $12 plus a small postage fee.

Hi Kristen,
this is really lovely. The boys should go camping regularly if this is what you turn out. I just love it!

Now that is quite lovely and yes I totally agree, it is amazing what you can get done when children are elsewhere. Don't think camping is an option at this time of year though.

I'd also be interested in that pattern.

I notice that you're not on Etsy.
Best wishes
