linen tape

I finally bought some linen tape and did the calcs on getting it screen printed. Hmmm... way too expensive. So with 20 metres of tape, my next plan of action was to have some little stamps made up and get stamping.
After looking through my sewing books for inspiration, I decided to make some baby bibs. Why didn't I do this when my kids were babies - so easy!!

calling all crafty peeps

My neighbour is organising a crafty market. Just a small affair with 15 stalls, all handmade stuff. If you live in 'the shire' or don't mind travelling here, she is looking for a few more stall holders - last Sunday in November. I'm going to have a stall.
Drop an email to Rhonda for more details: rhonddac1 at optusnet dot com dot au
edit: doh... I had the email address typed incorrectly. So if you've already emailed, please try again!

The girls needed some friends. Drummer boys. They may not look like it, but there's playing jazz.

Dear Apple,
I am looking for a sponsorship deal. Please provide me with one of your lovely MacBook Pro notebooks and I promise to use it everyday with a smile on my face.

help

Here's an age old dilema. Mac or PC?
My laptop is about to die. It's a PC. I need to upgrade my software, so a cross grade to Mac is an option at this time. But do I stay with PC and get more bang for my buck or go to Mac and buy more stability??

blue

I really can't remember if I've aready mentioned this and I'm not about to read my old posts to find out. So bear with me if I'm having a memory meltdown (must have been all that walking around Bondi with 2 kids yesterday, it has sucked all my brain cells out). Winter Nest is available in soft blue over at Kelani. You can only get it there.

stuffed

I sat up late last night in front of TV (with only boring rubbish to watch - except for Spick & Specks) and stuffed these girls. Going off to One Small Room soon.
Then I stayed up even later looking on the net for Dutch natural linen sewing tape - like the printed Japanese designs that are so popular at the moment. I'd love to print some of my own designs on it.

Black Bags Sale

There's a little sale going on over at Black Bags: 15% off until Nov 4, 2008. And if you're quick, there's a new 'mollybirds' laptop/shoulderbag on offer. I've said this before, her attention to detail and sewing is perfect!

And on the homefront, Harry and I learnt a new lesson while at the beach this week... never ever wear goggles while skimming your boogie board along the waters edge at the beach. Harry's board hit the sand, he went face first over the front and into the ground. The goggs cut above and below his eye and it wasn't pretty. I fall apart when it comes to medical stuff so luckily a man sitting with his family took charge and walked us over to the life savers to clean and patch up poor Harry. Glenn, take charge man, later revealed he was part of an emergency response unit for diving and sea accidents. Yah for Glenn!!
Harry and I decided his face looks worse than when he went face first over his scooter this year (days before school photos, nice), but not so bad as when he went down a massive hill 2 years ago and came off halfway down. I had to make Jack walk home and put Harry in the pram. Jack cried the whole way home because he was tired and kept sitting down, while Harry was hysterical and cried from the pain. Boys... never a dull moment.
