Zip ends

To answer a question left on the comments page, here is how I stop slanty ends on the zipper. A piece of fabric sewn at each end that wraps around the zipper. This is the first thing I do before sewing accros the top of the zipper to each panel. Then the last step is to sew the sides and bottom. Hope this makes sense?!?

Hi Kristin

I am currently sitting here trying out your fantastic technique with the zip. Question...are your pouches lined? I am just having a bit of trouble....one end looks OK the other looks like a bum crack kind of!!

Thanks

How long is the strip you sew in, just an inch or so, or does is it twice the height of the bag?

Just an inch or so. Folded in half and wrapped across the ends of the zip and stitched across. Raw edge underneath trimmed neatly.
