2 sleeps

So here's the story...
24 years ago Duran Duran came to Sydney. I was 14 and too young to go to the concert. Very sad. When I was living in England they played a concert in London, I was 29, and 8 months pregnant - too tired to go. Now, they are playing in Sydney (march 28 entertainment centre) and the question may be am I too old, nah. I have rung Mum, and she's said I can go this time!!!
Now at my age, talking about Duran Duran doesn't come into everyday conversation. So the question became - Who would go with me? Does anyone I know even like them? I sent an email out to my Sydney friends. To my surprise one of my best pals, Monique went to the concert 24 years ago. Who'd have thought it?
What's with the hat, John?

I'll go with you!I was just telling my husband how I'd like to go to Australia. Thing is, I doubt I could get there in time even if I caught the plane in 10 minutes. Have fun! (of course you will)

We're the same age! I'm near Vancouver, B.C. and my brother emailed me to let me know Duran Duran was coming to town. My heart skipped a beat. My 14 year old years were covered in Duran Duran posters, pins and t-shirts. How I loved them. I'd go with you in a flash.

If I can get from Eastern Canada to Australia in 2 days, after finding a babysitter for my kids, I am THERE! Because I too was too young when they came to my city back in the day.....

I LOVE Duran Duran. I was so excited to see your posts ... I saw a show back in 1983 and not since. They're coming to my town May 6! I'm so there!

I'm happy to find a kindred spirit. Have fun!

Kristen, you'll have such a blast! I think you have plenty of Duran Duran support out there. (I somewhat apologetically posted about Madonna today...so I understand, believe me!)

Have fun! Will look forward to your report :)

i loved Duran Duran. Had so many posters on my wall growing up.

Roger Taylor and I share the same birthday, and i can't believe that I still remember that!!! Thought it was very special when I was a kid.

I went and saw the Police recently and had the best night.

enjoy!!!

I hope you had a great time! I went to see them in 1983 when I was just 13, my first concert ever. I loved John back then, something fierce.

I was in New York last year, and who was in my hotel??? John Taylor - I just sat and stared and stared and stared (like a madwoman). He was just there, on the next table in the bar - I could have touched him. I think there would have been trouble though!
Have a fabulous time!!!

I hope you had a great time, I know you did! When I was a teenager Duran Duran was my favorite band. I wore these pins on my sweaters, and had posters all over my room. I never got to see them in concert. It would be so much more fun now as an adult!

Did you go? It's a good show. I saw them back in the 90's or so, but it was great fun. I was in highschool then, like 11th grade. Love your designs.
