Thanks for the kind comments about my painting of Mum. It is finished and has been emailed off to the judges. Now I just cross my fingers until Mother's Day to find out how it went.

I really like all the patterns that you've used on the blouse & the background. Can you tell me what kind of paints you used?

Hi Tuscanycastlegirl! I used tube waterpaints, but didn't add much water. I would have used guache, but didn't have any around.
it really is lovely! your work always has so much personality and life.
