Here's a couple of pics of my stall. Or should I say 'little' stall. I set it up Wednesday morning and went home and fell on the lounge and didn't move for 2 days. Jack and I have some nasty bug that's going around and today is the first day I feel almost human.
So we trekked over to Oatley to check out how my stall was going and to my horror I discovered that a person had set up beside me with a huge beanbag. That would have been OK if she hadn't moved half of my stuff out of the way and even put some of my stock into my storage box underneath the table! What is the usual craft market etiquette here? Do you hurl the bean bag onto the floor or just shove it under the table a set up again??? I really shouldn't have gone over there in this state of sickness. I obviously have a zero tolerance factor when ill.
Also a big thank you to manela and elke with the translations on the thrift fabric!
Note: there are some more printed fabric pieces and I will photograph them and post them in the shop over the weekend.

It's beautiful and very original looking. Lovely.
What an eye-catching stall! I'd certainly come over to look. What are those dangly things on the wall? Hair things?
I can't quite picture what your stall-neighbor did, but it sounds inconsiderate. Of course I would *want* to take her beanbag and kick it across the room, but I probably wouldn't. I'd probably move it over a bit or wait to talk with her about it. But first I'd stress about it for a long, long time. I hope that's not what you're doing!
Your stall looks great. Your neighbour is way out of line - never mind craft stall etiquette how about everyday decent general behaviour. What a crazy lady - kick her back into her own space! Your stall is obviously way hipper than hers anyway.
What a fantastic looking stall! It sure looks like you have been busy sewing. The bean bag lady sure would of put a bee in my bonnet! Hope you are feeling better.
wish i was there to snap up some goodies, everything looks lovely.
your stall looks amazing and i think your fabric is beautiful.
What a fantastic looking stall. Well Done. Shame about being sick though.
The beanbag lasy was way out of line! How dare she move some of your stuff!! I hope you managed to transfer some of your germmies to her!!!
Oh my God, what a horrible situation to be in,especially when you feel grotty. Obviously your stall stood out and I think there may have been a bit of the green eyed beanmonster!!!
Love your work still - very encouraging!
how rude is that! some people are so weird. Somebody that would put your stuff away is somebody that doesn't have the same sensibilities as the rest of us so you shouldn't have to worry about your approach to her. A loud " whoops looks like some of your stuff has spilled over into mine" and then a quick sweep with your arm should do it! good luck
Poor you- sick + a rude stall neighbor. I had my cards in a shop where we were to maintain our displays + it was ruthless (rudeness!). I could only get there once a month I often found my items UNDER a table. You think people would be supportive + share, but apparently some people learned nothing from Sesame Street!
Everything looks fantastic + I'm sure shoppers will see past the bean bag + straight to your items!
sounds like a pretty bold beanbag lady! to put things back under the table in your storage box?? that's a bit over the line...ugh!
hope you're feeling better soon...you've probably worn yourself down preparing for the show. your body is demanding its rest, i guess!! be well.
Your stall looks amazing - I wish I could shop there! I love the bags...
At least she didn't STEAL your stuff ( who was protecting it while you were ill ? ) .. but yeah, surely you pay for/lease a certain amount of space, so there would be defined boundaries ??
I don't know, but any of the above opinions would do me.
I bet she was just jealous.
Sucks to her.
Hi Kristen
I went to the craft market today and saw your stall. So very nice, even better in real life. The colours are amazing. I bought a hair button and saw the offending bean bag :) Thought I would finally say hello and leave a comment as I am a daily visitor.
Oh I also forgot to say they are all so well made. You should be selling at Paddington markets.
You've done such a good job, hope it is all going really well for you. Bean bag lady is plain rude.
your stall is spectacular! i hope you are able to rest and feel better soon.
Wow it's all fab :) very impressive indeed!
