My local printer was having a sale on business cards in March. It was too tempting, I tried to stop myself...really! Then I had this brilliant idea for mini cards. Design two cards on the one layout and just chop in half and round of the corners with my new rounding corners thingy. Also it was just perfect for putting my hair buttons on that are going to the local art gallery.
I think I might just be a business card junkie.
There will be no mowing going on around here this weekend. Just birthday present shopping (what is Poly World anyway??? Being a mum of 2 boys doesn't send me into this realm often) and finally sewing a quilt for myself! I have pulled out all my favourite fabrics and cut them all up. Couldn't believe I did it, but yes ALL cut up - not a scrap left.
For those who wanted to know the "Decorative Art 70s" book by Charlotte & Peter Fiell is published by Taschen 2006, ISBN 3-8228-5043-8.

Hello there!
You mentioned you have a rounded corners cutting thingy - could you please elaborate? Are they like scissors? Where did you get it (I'm in Melbourne)?
Thanks! Love the blog and your work!

Your business cards look great! I am curious too, what do you mean by the rounded corners thingy? Sounds like a cool little tool!
Clever idea!! They look great, too :) I like the buttons :)
My advice on Polly Pockets, as the mom of a little girl, is to try to avoid the rock star type and go for the cuter, less offensive, pet shop, horseback riding type.
The cards look great and are a wonderful way to showcase the hair buttons. I love to round my corners on cards, too.
i think you should start framing them and hanging them around your house...or would that just be too much???
they look fantastic. you never cease to amaze me with your designs!
Smart smart smart - what a great idea!
Hi Kristen,
You have an amazing blog that so inspiring. Hope you don't mind me asking but what printer do you use?
No probs, I have my cards printed at Worldwide Online Printing. Full colour both sides with a matt varnish. And they have Illustrator and Indesign templates on their website for you to download and setup your artwork.
love those business cards...very clever indeed!
